Position Overview:

As an Industrial HVAC Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately estimating the costs associated with our industrial HVAC projects. You will collaborate with our engineering and sales teams to provide detailed and competitive project bids, ensuring that our clients receive top-quality HVAC solutions that meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities:

• Project Estimation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Industrial HVAC projects, considering materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the sales team to develop competitive and compelling bid proposals that align with client specifications and project requirements.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate pricing, and maintain positive relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of project costs, identifying areas for cost savings and value engineering, without compromising quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimations and bid proposals
• Market research: Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and labour costs to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace.
• Documentation: Maintain organized and details records of estimates, bids, and correspondence for future reference and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, civil or construction engineering technologies, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an HVAC estimator in an industrial setting, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Proficient using estimating software and tools, with advanced knowledge of HVAC system design and install.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.
