Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Dust Collection Estimator to join or dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our projects, working closely with clients to assess their unique requirements, provide accurate cost estimations, and contribute to the successful execution of industrial HVAC projects.

Responsibilities:

• Project Assessment:
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess the specific requirements of the facility.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate existing HVAC systems and propose improvements to enhance dust collection efficiency.
• Cost Estimation:
  • Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to determine materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate pricing, and maintain positive relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
• Proposal Development:
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals outlining project scope, cost breakdown, and timelines.
  • Present proposals to clients and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Work closely with the sales team to support business development activities.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with engineering, constructions, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, addressing questions and providing project updates.
  • Attend project meetings to contribute insights and address technical aspects of dust collection systems.
• Market research: Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and labour costs to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace.
• Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed records of estimates, bids, and correspondence for future reference and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC technologies, or a related field.
• Proven experience in estimating dust collection systems for industrial HVAC projects.
• Strong Knowledge of HVAC systems, air quality regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.
